Lon was born in Detroit, and grew up in Kalkaska County. He has been married to Sandra Husbands for 36 years and has three daughters Sarah, Jennifer and Erin Husbands.
Lon is president and owner of Kalkaska Float Equipment Inc., an
environmental services corporation started in 1984, and has been in the environmental and oilfield business for over 32 years.
Lon is also the general manager for Great Lakes Carbon Treatment Inc. an Eveready Company that builds and designs various types of industrial and environmental treatment systems and filtration units.
